Welcome to Jeffersonville Public Arts! As a city program, we’re dedicated to enriching our community through vibrant, accessible art experiences for all. We also proudly oversee the NoCo Arts District and champion public art installations throughout the city, fostering a sense of place and community pride. From plays and workshops to public art and creative events, we bring art experiences to everyone—ensuring access for all, regardless of background or ability. We’re passionate about empowering local artists, supporting all mediums, and making art an essential part of everyday life in Jeffersonville. Join us in celebrating creativity and connection!

Our Mission

Jeffersonville Public Art (JPA), established in 2012, exercises legal authority to approve and site new public art on property owned by the City of Jeffersonville. Site-specific artworks identify Jeffersonville as a place with ingenuity and a great capacity for innovation. These artworks, both permanent and temporary, ranging from traditional to new media. It is the conviction of JPA that, in order to support a thriving artistic culture within the city, community involvement shall extend beyond everyday appreciation to meaningful engagement in the creation, evolving interpretation and ongoing care of artworks throughout Jeffersonville.

MISSION

Jeffersonville Public Art believes all art should be free and accessible to everyone in our community. We integrate art, culture, and design into public spaces to create meaningful experiences, celebrate Jeffersonville's history and culture, and foster community engagement. Our commitment to expanding artistic expression brings diverse art experiences to the area, enriching the lives of all who live, work, and visit. By fostering community engagement, we aim to define Jeffersonville’s unique sense of place through art and cultural expression.
